What we move
Your website and its database, and every mailbox — every message, folder and read/unread flag. We verify file and mailbox counts before anything switches over.
What we need from you (reply on the ticket, never by plain email)
- Your domain. Remove any privacy add-on, unlock the domain, then send the EPP/authorisation code (.com, .net and most others) or ask your provider to change the IPS tag to
PDR-IN(.co.uk, .uk, .org.uk). If you'd rather keep the domain where it is, that's fine — you'll just point its nameservers at us at the end. - Your email. A list of addresses and their passwords, plus the incoming (IMAP) server name from your current host.
- Your website. Your WordPress admin login, or your current host's cPanel login.
How long it takes
Once we have access, a typical site is copied and checked within a day or two. We then agree a quiet time with you for the switchover — the nameserver change — and we ask you to confirm everything is working before you cancel with your old host.
One thing worth knowing in advance: if you change your nameservers yourself before we've copied your mailboxes, mail can arrive here while your old messages are still there. Let us do the copy first, then switch.
