1. Who we are

2. What we collect and why

• Account and billing data (name, address, email, phone, order history) — to provide services and invoices. Lawful basis: contract; retained for the account's life plus the period required for tax and accounting law.
• Support communications (tickets, emails, call notes) — to help you. Lawful basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Technical logs (IP addresses, access logs) — for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics. Lawful basis: legitimate interests; retained for a limited period.
• Domain registrant data — shared with the relevant registry (for example Nominet for .uk) as required to register your domain. Lawful basis: contract.
• Marketing preferences — only with your consent, withdrawable at any time.

3. Who helps us process data

We use a small number of processors to run our services: Mailgun (EU region) to deliver system email; Stripe to process card payments (we never see or store full card numbers); MaxMind for fraud screening of orders; Google reCAPTCHA to protect forms; Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics; and Trustpilot to invite genuine customers to review us. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK Addendum to Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Data hosted on our platform

Content you host with us (websites, mailboxes, databases) lives in our UK data centres in Coventry and Maidenhead. For that content we act as a processor on your behalf: it's your data, we store and serve it, and we access it only to provide support you've asked for or to protect the platform.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request portability. Write to support@ukbox.co.uk; we respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

6. Cookies

Essential cookies keep you logged in and your cart working — the site cannot function without them. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate. Security cookies support reCAPTCHA. You can control cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will break login and ordering.
