Creating a new mailbox Print

Mailboxes are created in cPanel and work within a minute of being made.

  1. Open cPanel (from the client area: Services → My Services → your hosting → Login to cPanel).
  2. Go to Email → Email Accounts and click Create.
  3. Choose the domain, type the part before the @, and set a password. Use the generator — a long random password is also what stops the server firewall blocking you for repeated failed logins later.
  4. Leave the storage quota at the default unless you want to cap this mailbox; on our plans storage is pooled across the account, so nobody gets locked out for going over.
  5. Click Create.

Now sign in at webmail (https://yourdomain.co.uk:2096) with the full address and password to check it, then add it to your phone or Outlook using the settings in our device guide.

Every hosting and email plan includes a set number of mailboxes (Starter: 10; Business and Pro hosting: unlimited). If you've reached your plan's limit, upgrading is a couple of clicks in the client area. On a done-for-you email plan, or if you'd simply rather not — open a ticket with the addresses you want and we'll create them.
