Changing your PHP version Print

  • 0

WordPress and most modern software want a recent PHP version, and a plugin update will sometimes say "requires PHP 8.2". You can change it yourself in seconds.

  1. cPanel → Software → MultiPHP Manager.
  2. Tick the domain, choose the version from the dropdown, click Apply.

It takes effect immediately. If the site then shows an error, switch straight back — nothing is lost — and note what broke: it's almost always an old plugin or theme that hasn't been updated for the newer PHP, and updating it is the real fix.

Fine-tuning like memory limits and upload sizes is under MultiPHP INI Editor on the same menu. If you'd rather we did the change, or you're on a design plan, open a ticket saying which version you need.
